Responding with safety options to COVID-19

We have learned through our work together in the crop insurance business that nothing surprises us. A year ago when many were facing prevented planting challenges that seemed insurmountable, we worked through it. There will always be something that surfaces and we roll up our sleeves and work together to provide the best service and support possible to our customers.

COVID-19 is no different. Being able to respond quickly to ensure the safety, and to continue to meet the needs of our agents and policyholders, has been important for our team. For farmers and ranchers, work continues and their risks are still there. It is at times like this that we learn to just complete our work in different ways. Fortunately, RCIS has a lot of technology in place that allows for work to continue in a world of social distancing. Please keep this in mind as we all work through the acreage reporting season and be sure to work with our team on the mapping capabilities we have available to help through our RCIS FarmMaps℠ mapping service. Used as a tool throughout the insurance life cycle, the mapping system provides quick access to maps, visual representations of farmers’ fields and FSA data. It helps simplify the acreage reporting process, making it easier to link fields to units for common land unit (CLU) reporting requirements.

Other innovative options available to help keep business moving in your agency include electronic document delivery, online billing, payments and deposits, digital signatures, automated data uploads – ACRSI, Precision Ag and CIMs are all available and in use. These are all services that have been available. And, I know many of you have been part of virtual trainings and meetings hosted by our team when face-to-face meetings are not an option.
